Made from a specially woven Kala cotton fabric which is loomed in close proximity to where the cotton is gown and dyed, the Erica top has a sweet  frilled collar and a flowing silhouette, our Erica Top is endlessly easy to wear and winningly versatile. Beautiful worn over trousers, skirts or pyjama bottoms, it is gloriously comfortable and ideal no matter the season, whether layered up with knits through winter or worn solo in autumn and spring. With a gathered front and back panel detail. Model is 5'9 and a UK size 10.

Woven Checks

Kala cotton is one of the most energy efficient and carbon neutral cotton crops in the world. It is grown in Kutch, Gujarat, India; and is considered to be genetically pure. The crops are entirely rain fed and do not rely on fertilizer or pesticides and are therefore organic.

Only 6-700 Kala cotton weavers are in practice today and many are generational artisans, to support this craft is an honour and the fabric woven for us is incredibly special.

The cotton starts with a stiffness, similar to linen and the garments become softer with age and wear. Something that resonates with the Cabbages & Roses ethos of gently worn and softened fabrics.
