Made from a hand loomed, naturally dyed, red stripe cotton; this very special fabric comes from a community who have been growing, dying and looming cotton for generations. The Bermondsey top reaches approximately mid hip. With a charming Peter pan collar, fitted shoulders and A line bodice, the skirt is gently pleated and buttoned at the back. Model is 5'9 and a UK size 10.

Mangalagiri cotton is a handwoven yard dyed fabric from the Indian state of Andrah Pradesh. It has a distinctive thread count which makes an intricate weave.

This type of cotton is known for its simple patterns and designs and beautiful selvedge. It is woven on pit looms using combed yarn, this special cotton has been dyed and woven for C&R. Dyed to match a pair of cheerful red childhood mittens and turned into the most perfect tiny stripe, our delicate cotton shirts are a luxurious layer for the winter and a fresh and light garment for the summer.
